Asahiyama stable

朝日山部屋

Asahiyama stable is in Kamagaya, Chiba, and exists today under the same name. Its head is Asahiyama Munekatsu, the 19th Asahiyama, who wrestled as Kotonishiki and reached sekiwake. According to Japanese Wikipedia, the stable was re-founded on 1 June 2016 as a branch of Oguruma stable after the earlier stable closed in 2015, and it belongs to the Isegahama ichimon, which it returned to in January 2017 after belonging to the Nishonoseki ichimon. The Japan Sumo Association's stable page lists only sandanme and lower wrestlers and no sekitori (wrestlers in juryo or the top division).
