Hatachiyama stable
二十山部屋
Hatachiyama stable no longer exists: it closed in 2006 after the death of its head on 2006-06-23, and its wrestlers and yobidashi moved to Kitanoumi stable. According to Japanese Wikipedia, the stable existed in two periods. The first was founded in 1901 by the 17th yokozuna (the highest rank in sumo) Konishiki Yasokichi after he left Takasago stable, and closed in March 1943. The second was founded on 1 June 1994 by ex-ozeki (the second-highest rank) Hokutenyu Katsuhiko, who left Mihogaseki stable with six disciples. At its last existence it belonged to the Dewanoumi ichimon.
