Kasugano stable

春日野部屋

Kasugano stable is in Ryogoku, Sumida ward, Tokyo. Its head is Kasugano Kiyotaka, who wrestled as Tochinowaka and reached sekiwake. According to Japanese Wikipedia, the stable belongs to the Dewanoumi ichimon and was founded in 1925, when Tochigiyama, a yokozuna, took over the Kasugano elder name and was allowed to split off from Dewanoumi stable. The same source lists the yokozuna Tochinishiki and Tochinoumi and the ozeki Tochihikari and Tochinoshin among its wrestlers. Yokozuna is the highest rank in sumo, and ozeki is the second-highest rank. For the September 2026 tournament, its one sekitori, a wrestler in juryo or the top division, is Tochitaikai, in juryo, the second division.
