Wakafuji stable

若藤部屋

According to Japanese Wikipedia, Wakafuji stable no longer exists: it closed shortly after the wrestler Kotogaiwa (小戸ヶ岩龍雄) left sumo after the war, having retired after the May 1948 tournament. According to Japanese Wikipedia, the stable was founded in 1856, when the juryo Arato Jindayu of Ise-no-umi stable took the name of 5th Wakafuji. The 8th head re-established it in 1907. After the stable closed, he belonged to Isegahama stable until retirement. No yokozuna (the highest rank in sumo) or ozeki (the second-highest rank) is named for the stable on its Japanese Wikipedia page.
